QUANTUM GEOMETRY  AND TOPOLOGY

Topics
The asymptotical behaviour of quantum invariants of knots and 3-manifolds is deeply related to Chern-Simons theory, and the semi-classical analysis of operators defined on certain quantizations of character varieties of surface groups.
 
The goal of this meeting is to provide introductory courses on these related topics and to stress their mutual relations:    
 
  1. •       An introduction to semi-classical analysis (L. Charles, Université de Paris VII)
  2. •       Quantizations of Teichmuller Space (V. Fock, Université de Strasbourg)
  3. •       Classical Chern-Simons theory (C. Beasley, NorthEastern University, Simons Center)
